Privacy Policy

SATBooster is a family-supervised SAT preparation programme. Accounts are created by a parent or legal guardian, who then enrols one or more students. Students never register themselves.

Because many students are under 18, the guardian who creates the family account is the party who consents to data collection on the student's behalf.

Account data: guardian and student names, email addresses, relationship, time zone and family role.

Programme data: diagnostic results, practice and exam attempts, timing, confidence ratings, error patterns, micro-skill mastery, study plans and readiness test scores.

Communication data: the emails we send you (activation links, diagnostic reports, daily summaries) and their delivery outcome.

We do not collect payment card details in the app, and we do not ask students for phone numbers, addresses, photographs or school identifiers.

To diagnose the smallest actionable weakness for each student and generate the individualised training plan.

To deliver unique-but-equivalent practice questions and detect mastery decay.

To keep guardians informed through activation, diagnostic, weekly and daily progress emails.

We do not sell student data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers that host the application, database and email delivery on our behalf.

Linked guardians can see their own student's progress, weaknesses, error patterns and exam results. Guardians cannot see other families' students, and students cannot see other students.

Practice answer keys and explanations are held server-side and released to a student only after the answer is submitted and graded.

Programme data is retained while the family account is active so that mastery decay and cumulative revision remain accurate.

A guardian may request deletion of a student record or the whole family account at any time by writing to support@satbooster.org. We remove account and programme data within 30 days of a verified request.

Access is enforced at the database level with row-level security so each row is readable only by the student it belongs to, their linked guardians, and programme administrators.

Passwords are stored and verified by our authentication provider; we never see them in plain text.
